Communication strategy
The materials requested were required to support a communication strategy that informs health professionals, parents and caregivers of children of the new MMRV vaccine as well as information about the transition period.
Governments have been trying to combat misconceptions and conspiracy theories about vaccine safety with mixed success. Despite the fact that numerous (independent) studies have found no evidence to support the notion that vaccines cause autism and other chronic illnesses, a growing number of parents are refusing to vaccinate their children. These falling immunisation rates have been linked to recent resurgences of vaccine preventable diseases.
