Project Overview
This interpretive signage program spans ten national parks across northern NSW, Australia, delivering a consistent suite of interpretive signage for the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area. We developed an eye-catching visual style guide and bespoke graphics to unify lookout panels, trail signage, and information boards across many sites. The rollout included approximately 50 map and information signs, 8 panoramic lookout panels, and around 70 story poles and trackside signs. Content was enriched by stories from Andrew Turbill (Darkwood Stories), and professionally proofed by Donella Andersen (NatureEdit), ensuring accuracy and readability in national park settings.
Notable Outcomes or Impact
A cohesive interpretive signage system improved visitor engagement and wayfinding clarity across multiple NPWS-managed parks, reinforcing World Heritage values while providing a consistent visitor experience from Werrikimbe to the Border Ranges. The shared style guide streamlines ongoing updates and coordination across sites and teams.
