MMRV Vaccination Brochure Poster
The Australian Government, Department of Health and Aging engaged us to design posters and brochures to increase awareness of upcoming changes to the Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) and Varicella (chicken pox) vaccines. The materials requested were required to support a communication strategy that informs health professionals, parents and caregivers of children of the new MMRV vaccine as well as information about the transition period.
The brief included:
- Information booklet: Immunisation Provider Guidelines – The guidelines contained key clinical information for immunisation providers relating to the MMRV changes.
- Brochure (DL): Targeted at parents and caregivers of children in the appropriate age range of 0-4 years.
- A3 Vaccination Poster: Targeted at parents and caregivers of children in the appropriate age range of 0-4 years both for indigenous and general populations.
Governments have been trying to combat misconceptions and conspiracy theories about vaccine safety with mixed success. Despite the fact that numerous (independent) studies have found no evidence to support the notion that vaccines cause autism and other chronic illnesses, a growing number of parents are refusing to vaccinate their children. These falling immunisation rates have been linked to recent resurgences of vaccine preventable diseases.
