Bush Tucker Signs, Dorroughby Environmental Education Centre

These bush tucker signs describing aboriginal native plant foods and their uses were developed for Dorroughby Environmental Education Centre in north-east NSW.

Plants were used for food, medicines & incorporated into value objects. At Dorroughby, experienced teachers provide sustainability, cultural and environmental programs for students K-12 at the centre, within schools and at a variety of other sites e.g rainforests, wetlands, and along the coast.

Bush Tucker Signs – Aboriginal Plant Use

Colour palettes were chosen from the bush tucker images with a common template design throughout. Many of the beautiful images were supplied by professional photographer, Hugh Nicholson.
